Today I attended the groundbreaking ceremony for new athletic fields at my alma mater, Mt. Eden High School. It was good to be back at my old stomping grounds. Back then, I never imagined that all these years later I would have the good fortune to work for my hometown and attend ceremonies like this, among good friends and colleagues. Back then when I played on the football team, I never dreamed that I would one day be part of an even bigger team: the community wide team that worked to pass the school bond, Measure L, that made this groundbreaking possible.
